These are phenomenal drapes. I purchased the black ones because the goal was to block as much light as possible. Darker colors are going to block more light. Anticipating that lighter colors would not be as good, I went black. They work great. Our neighbor leaves their backyard light on all night with what I can only guess is the same kind of bulb they use on a train headlight. It shines across their yard, through ours, straight at our bedroom window. These drapes block the light completely. COMPLETELY. The only places *any* light gets through are the edges where the drapes don't cover. A better fit or curved rod would fix that - but its not the fault of the drapes. I just ordered the Wheat colored for our living room, where absolute blackness is not as crucial, but where I would like to block a lot of the early morning sunshine during the summer or in the evenings to watch a movie. Really great. Already a repeat customer.

We just got done remodeling our bathroom, & we made it bigger, I have a linen closet that is right by my bathroom door, and didn't want to put the door on the linen closet, so I decided to put a curtain up. This curtain goes nicely with my colors, I didn't realize that they were going to have a shine to them, but the shine isn't really shiny, so that didn't bother me much. The color looks like the picture. I'm going to put pictures up when I get them back from the cleaners, my linen closet was only 17"X 76" so had to get them altered, but was glad to find out they could make 2 out of the 1 panel, so this way when the one I put up, after it gets old, I have a extra new one to put up 🙂

Love the color! Was worried it’d be too bright but it’s the perfect dusty rose I was looking for for my daughters room. Not blackout by any means but good light blocking. They give the room a rosy glow when the suns shining directly through them. Fabric quality isn’t great. Seems like it could snag easily. If your rod isn’t super thin I would recommend curtain rings as the casing is on the narrower side.

Ever effective! I will post the pictures I took after I had put the lining on one side compared to the other, it's like night at day! (Literally!) the panels are smaller than my actual curtains but I just lined them up to go with the inside of each curtain and they cover the window just fine! The first pic is with the light off, look how dark it makes it! and my curtains are white/ivory

Been searching for curtain like this for some time. I had measured and knew I needed 95 inch length panels which are hard to find in store. I had bought sheers already for the window so I knew the length was 95, however ordered these in 95 and though they look beautiful they are probably about 4 inches shorter than I would have expected. I'm not sure what the issue is because the sheers are the right length and this curtain is not. I'm thinking about buying another curtain and adding the extra 4 inches on each to improve the look since it seems like letting out the seam may not make for the best look. The other thing to note is they are light blocking but not 100% as others have noted. I have blinds and sheers behind it and you can see the difference halfway down in the pictures. Overall I like them but I'd keep in mind the measurements may be a little off.

I have spent hours on the internet looking for a way to replace our rental apartment's ugly vertical blinds. Aside from being ugly the vertical blinds just let in too much light in day time and we need total darkness because we work at nights. Although not really cheap ( there are other cheaper options online) i think this works the best! The dimensions is exactly what you'll need for a sliding patio door and the quality is great. My only problem is the color, its not exactly what I expected and its not the kind of blue that is pictured above. I am not sure what storm blue is but the picture looks like its navy... The actual color leans more to dark-grayish blue. Well i guess that's what storm blue is! To attach it onto the vertical blind's rod i had to punch in drapery hooks/pins. I measured the length of the curtain then divided it to how many blind holder there is on the rod which is 25. I had to mark and punch in the hooks about 10 cm apartment. Next i took the vertical blinds and replaced it with the curtain! And it's perfect! Now our bedroom is DARK! 😁

I really like these. They are thick and great quality, unlike everyone's comments. BUT what was misleading is that ordering one "set" gets you only one curtain panel. Who only needs one panel? So now I'm having to order another two to have four. $60 for a full set of curtains. But great quality.

How to Measure Single or Double Hung Windows

  1. Measure the width of the window frame. (A to B)
  2. Measure the length of the window frame. (C to D)
  3. Measure the length from the top of the window frame to the floor. (E to F)

Determining Proper Width When measuring the width of your window (A to B), be sure to consider whether you are hanging your curtain hardware on the inside or outside of the window trim. If you are aiming for a fuller, gathered look, make sure to multiply your measurement by 2.5x.

Determining Proper Length Consider the look you want to achieve and where you want the bottom of your curtains to fall. Panels are usually hung so they fall anywhere from the window sill (C to D) or to the floor (E to F). Typically, panels are hung 4 inches above the window frame.

Helpful Tips:

  • Consider pooling your drapes for a more dramatic effect, this means your drapes will gather on the floor.
  • If you have baseboard heating, consider whether you want to cover or have curtains end just above baseboard.

Are Eclipse blackout curtains good?

The Eclipse Blackout Curtains are a great alternative for those who want their bedrooms dark enough but not pitch black. These blackout curtain panels let in enough light to make a room easy to navigate. They are also useful in reducing unwanted noise from getting inside a room.
